Which Situation Are You In?
Apply for a Swedish work permit — four common situations.
People come to us at different stages. Tell us which one fits you.
You have a Swedish job offer
A Swedish company has offered you a job. Now you need to apply for a Swedish work permit before you can start.
- We work with your employer on the application
- We tell you which documents you need
- We send the application to Migrationsverket and follow it
- We tell you how to do the embassy visit
Your permit needs to be extended
You’re in Sweden on a work permit. It is about to end. You can apply up to four months before it expires. An extension can go smoothly — but a lot can also go wrong if past details don’t match the rules.
- We check your salary history against the minimum
- We check your insurance (life, health, work injury, pension)
- We send the application before your current permit ends
- Migrationsverket looks back at your whole past permit — we make sure everything is in order
Change of employer or job position
You have a Swedish work permit. Now you want to change to a new employer, or to a different job with the same employer. You need to apply for a new permit before you start.
- We check the new job and conditions
- We work with the new employer’s side
- We send the application before your start date
- You keep your legal status the whole time
Permanent Residence (PUT)
After four years on a valid Swedish work permit, you can apply for permanent residence in Sweden. Apply at least three months before you reach the 48-month mark.
- We check your 48-month work and salary history
- We help you show you can support yourself
- We send the application before your current permit ends
- Family members can apply with you

Common Questions
Common questions about applying for a Swedish work permit.
Yes. Some employers do their side of the application themselves. You may still need help with your side.
We offer an applicant-only service at a reduced price — up to 50% off our standard fee. The exact price depends on how complex your case is. We confirm it in your written offer.
From 1 June 2026, work permit applicants must earn at least 90% of Sweden’s median salary. That is about SEK 33,390 per month right now. The offered terms must also match the Swedish collective agreement for your job.
Health insurance is required for jobs shorter than one year. Some industries and roles have higher minimum salaries. Some exceptions may apply. We check your case against the new rules during the free check.
